Went in to watch a film and when I sat down I sat in a load of puke. My Bum stuck to the seat as I smelled like something dead. The popcorn tasted like dirt.

Proper old school 2 screen cinema that use to be a bingo hall, these place has been here since the 1930s. 4 to watch a film & popcorn/drinks 1. Even got the old style ticket counter. This place has a proper old school atmosphere & at the same time doesn't rip you off like other not to mention cinema's. Cheap enjoyable night out with the way things use to be. 12 out of 10 to places like this

It's old and run down but it is cosy in its own way. Tickets are cheap! 10 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Get there nice and early with your kids and you can get yourself comfy on the sofas. There is plenty of things you can pick on but I won't as I had good time with my family.

sound quality quite poor in places and would benefit from allocated seating. had sat down ready to watch the film and it was decided to switch the film to another screen due to higher than expected sales. In the rush to go to the other screen and to get good seats, I was pushed back into my seat several times by a largegroup of teenagers and their parents. I am disabled and struggle to get up as it is and think that the rush for seats would have been elimated easily by having allocated seats. overall a lovely and unique experience but could benefit from some tweaks. will definitely be returning.

The Rio Cinema is just great! A small local cinema with two screens - it has comfy sofas at the rear of both. There is also lots of leg room in the normal seats, people can get past without others having to stand up. Tickets are 3 to 4 depending on the film being shown and the popcorn isn't the over-priced stuff you'd get from big multi-screen complexes.
